El impacto de la cultura cristiana en el campus: Experiencias y percepciones de estudiantes universitarios en Nuevo México

Esta investigación examina las experiencias estudiantiles con la cultura religiosa en una universidad estadounidense con alta concentración de estudiantes hispanos, centrándose en el predominio del cristianismo y su impacto en el sentido de pertenencia de los estudiantes. Mediante una metodología mixta, se recabaron diversas perspectivas que representan la diversidad del alumnado en el campus, incluyendo las de grupos marginados, personas LGBT+ y personas pertenecientes a comunidades históricamente excluidas por su fe. Los resultados revelan que los estudiantes perciben el cristianismo como la cultura religiosa dominante, presente en organizaciones cristianas, festividades y un apoyo limitado a las prácticas culturales con orígenes no cristianas. El estudio propone estrategias para la inclusión espiritual y el fomento de la diversidad en el campus.
