Quality Criteria

Quality criteria and standards

EDUCA seeks to achieve certain quality standards and criteria in its manuscripts, so the following will be taken into account:

  1. Quality of the text. Authors must carefully review the different sections of their article, always complying with the scientific protocol and incorporating quality content in the Foundation, objective / hypothesis / research question, methodology, ethical compliance and good practices, results, discussion, conclusions, limitations of the study and future lines of research and bibliographic references. All texts will be passed through an antiplagiarism detector, not allowing in any way the acceptance of a work with a percentage higher than 20%.

  2. Style and clarity of the text: An easy-to-read text must be presented, based on current bibliographic references and in sufficient number, using non-sexist language, and providing a critical point of view. The bibliographic style standards of the journal must be followed at all times.

  3. Importance of the topic. The texts must present topics of interest to the educational community, themes that favor progress towards educational quality and excellence in education. Issues that may have implications for the improvement of the educational system.

  4. Impact of the article. Texts with social and scientific impact will be valued, especially those that promote good practices in education.

  5. Advance of the field. Articles that contribute to scientific progress on a specific area or topic related to the educational field will be valued.

  6. Style. The review should be well written and conform to the style of the Publications Manual of the American Psychological Association (sixth edition). Authors should avoid using inexplicable jargon and provincialism.
